Charlotte's First Year

We've conquered a whole year with Charlotte! Maybe we’re exaggerating a bit; she’s been an angel from day one! You’re about to witness the most incredible 10 minute recap of the million pictures we took. Be sure to have your sound up!

With her exuberant smile, lively personality, contagious laugh, and the joy she brings everyone she meets, it is very hard not to love sweet Charlotte. Everyday as she wakes, she makes our day that so much more special and we just can’t imagine life without her…

Sleepy Charlotte

Charlotte doesn't need a pacifer to soothe herself to sleep, she just needs a blankie. When she can't reach her blanket, this is the result....

Charlotte can sign!!!

A few days ago Charlotte signed her first word, milk. Her first verbal word was uh-oh, which was about two weeks ago! It is just amazing how smart babies are! More signed and verbal words to come.

Check out my teeth.....

The toys are taking over...

How much stuff does one little person need??? Primary colors are taking over our color scheme in our apartment! The good news is that Charlotte figured out to crawl today! On one side, I'm really excited about this new milestone, but on the other, she's going to be across the kitchen and in the room in a blink of an eye. Speaking of eyes, Charlotte had pink eye last week! I'm sure one of many to come. Daycare has called us twice last week, "Mrs. Brown, Charlotte rolled over and hit her head." "Mrs. Brown, Charlotte was reaching for a toy off the shelf and konked herself in the head." Oh, I can't wait until next week!

Charlotte's two top teeth are breaking through. I really want her to stay a baby and never grow up! I know it is far away, but I'm really dreading the teenage years...

Charlotte meets Santa

We went to visit Santa at the Northpark Mall during our Christmas break and what a surprise we were in for. HAHA! I knew there would be a wait, but we ended up waiting 5 hours for a 30 second trip to see the BIG man. It was well worth it! This picture was taken at 10:15 PM and she is ALL smiles!

We celebrated Christmas with Bill's parents and Grandpa before they headed to NY to visit with Emily and Nicholas and my parents and sister came in to celebrate the day before Christmas Eve. I think both families had a great time visiting! Charlotte loves the sound of paper, but took her about 15 minutes to open one gift! She's practicing for next year!

How time flies....

I just cannot believe Charlotte is going to be 6 months old on Thursday-Thanksgiving Day!! She's growing and learning so much! She's been teething, but no teeth yet. I think I'm going to cry when that first one pops up! Next is going to be crawling, walking, talking, talking back, boys and the list goes on and on.....
I am happy that she's sleeping through the night. Now how to I get her to sleep in on the weekends??? She loves to know what's going on. Just today when Bill picked her up from school the teacher said she always falls asleep once the last baby leaves! She'll also start on baby food next week and it should be an adventure.
She LOVES to jump in her jumper/activity center. It's soooo cute. Check her out on the below link.
